HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE
Since 1907, baking has been more than a craft—it has been our family’s way of life.
What began with Michael Angelo Greco in New York over a century ago has been passed down through six generations, each one carrying forward the same commitment to quality, consistency, and pride in the process. From small neighborhood bakeries in Brooklyn to expanding operations across generations, our roots are built on hard work, discipline, and a relentless focus on doing things the right way.
As the business evolved—from Double Eagle Bakery in Brooklyn to Golden Loaf in New Jersey, and ultimately to Cusano’s Bakery in Florida—the mission never changed: produce the highest quality bread possible while delivering unmatched service to our customers.
Today, Cusano’s stands as a sixth-generation bakery, blending time-honored techniques with modern innovation. While our scale has grown, our philosophy remains simple—respect the craft, honor our heritage, and never compromise on quality. Over 100 years later, we’re still doing what we’ve always done—baking with purpose.
The process behind the product
Our foundation is artisan.
Long before 1907, our family's roots in Sicily—across Bagheria and Castellammare del Golfo—shaped a disciplined approach to breadmaking built on time, temperature, and technique. That philosophy still defines how we operate today.
We have never altered the core of our process to chase speed or volume. Every product is made with the same attention to detail that has been passed down through generations—where consistency is earned through precision, not shortcuts.
It’s not just how we started—it’s how we continue.
Innovation without compromise
While our methods are rooted in tradition, our execution is built for today.
We have strategically integrated modern technology to enhance consistency, efficiency, and control—without disrupting the integrity of our process. Our systems support our craftsmanship; they do not replace it.
This balance allows us to scale while maintaining the same standards that defined our earliest bakeries—delivering a level of quality that is both consistent and uncompromising.
We don’t choose between tradition and innovation—we operate at the intersection of both.
